Jordan R. Parker

Associate Attorney

Jordan Parker joined Brown, Hay & Stephens in 2023. He focuses his practice on business law, real estate law, trusts, estate planning, and probate.

Jordan began his career as a staff attorney with a Louisiana state agency where he assisted in the oversight of millions of dollars of federal and state funding used for emergency response and disaster recovery across the state. He commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in 2015 and earned certification as a judge advocate the following year. Jordan's first assignment as a Marine judge advocate was as a legal assistance attorney. In this role he assisted service members, their family members, and military retirees with wills, trusts, and estate planning, landlord/tenant disputes, marital separation agreements, adoptions, guardianships, and a host of other issues.

Jordan's next assignment was as trial counsel. As trial counsel, he earned qualification as a special victims' prosecutor and prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases at every level of court-martial. He also successfully represented the government at numerous contested administrative hearings to separate members from service for misconduct. His final assignment as an active-duty judge advocate was as a command legal advisor where he helped commanders at all levels navigate the complex regulatory and statutory framework that governs military decision-making.

Jordan's operational experience includes deployments to Norway and the Middle East, and he continues to serve his state and country as a staff judge advocate in the Illinois Air National Guard.

Jordan is from Shreveport, Louisiana, and he lives in Decatur, Illinois, with his wife, Rikki.
