Donald R. Tracy


Mr. Tracy’s practice is concentrated in corporate and employment law, including litigation. Mr. Tracy is active in the Illinois State Bar Association (past chair of Corporations and Securities Law Subcommittee, past chair of Judicial Advisory Polls Committee, past member of Labor and Employment Subcommittee, and currently on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Bar Foundation), the Sangamon County Bar Association (past President) and the Illinois Institute of Business Law, formerly the Illinois Secretary of State’s Corporate Acts Advisory Committee (past Chair.) He is Chair of the Illinois Gaming Board. Mr. Tracy has published articles on employment and corporate law and given numerous lectures on commercial law, employment law and corporate law. Mr. Tracy represents several family businesses and has served as lead counsel for closely held businesses in corporate and employment disputes throughout the country. He is general outside counsel to Dot Foods, Inc., the nation’s largest foodservice re-distributor. Mr. Tracy has tried cases or argued appeals in Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, California, Maryland, Arkansas and Louisiana, including the Illinois Supreme Court.
