Roger W. Holmes

Of Counsel

Roger W. Holmes served as an Associate Circuit Judge for the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Illinois from February 1988 through November 2009 and served in every division of the court including the civil, criminal and family divisions.  He presided over numerous civil and criminal jury trials.  Since retiring from the bench, Judge Holmes has been of counsel to Brown, Hay & Stephens, LLP concentrating in civil and commercial litigation, close corporation disputes and real estate.  Additionally, Judge Holmes serves as the Inspector General for Springfield, Illinois and as a Hearing Officer for both Springfield and Chatham, Illinois.  Judge Holmes trained as an Arbitrator and Mediator at the National Judicial College and is an adjunct faculty member at Lincoln College 2009 to the present.
