Roger Holmes served as an Associate Circuit Judge for the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Illinois from February 1988 through November 2009 and served in every division of the court including the civil, criminal and family divisions.  Prior to his tenure on the bench, Judge Holmes was in private practice with the Springfield firm of Mohan, Alewelt and Prillaman from 1976 to 1988 concentrating in civil and commercial litigation, construction litigation and corporate formation.   He is a former United State's Bankruptcy Trustee and was a member of the Sangamon County Sheriff's Deputy Merit Commission.  Roger Holmes is trained as an Arbitrator and Mediator and is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Illinois Springfield and Lincoln College.
