Since 1984, Emmet A. Fairfield has concentrated his practice primarily on the representation of banks and other creditors. He has had success advising financial institutions on loan documentation, Uniform Commercial Code issues, distressed loan negotiations, and other regulatory affairs affecting lenders. Emmet also has extensive experience in the United States Bankruptcy Court advocating for his clients’ creditors’ rights. In addition, Emmet frequently engages in complex litigation in Illinois State Courts pursuing lien enforcement and commercial collections matters.
Mr. Fairfield often lectures to other legal professionals on bankruptcy, mortgage foreclosure, and distressed loan topics at continuing legal education programs throughout the state.
