Ms. Schmidt brings an extensive family law and litigation practice to Brown, Hay & Stephens.  Ms. Schmidt graduated magna cum laude from Oral Roberts University and attained her juris doctor with honors from the University of Tulsa.  She joins Brown, Hay & Stephens after practicing with the Springfield firm of Stratton, Giganti, Stone & Kopec.  A member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association, she is past president of the Sangamon County Bar Association.  Her concentration is family law, and she is a certified child's representative as well as a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
