Senior Counsel

Robert A Stuart Jr. has focused his practice on estate planning, probate and trust issues. He has served as the President of the Sangamon Valley Estate Planning Council, as the Illinois State Bar Association Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section Council Chair and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. His expertise has caused him to represent clients in and out of the courtroom and in working with issues and property, not only in Illinois but other states and countries. He has dealt with individuals and businesses on planning issues, the courts in estate, guardianship and trust administration, will and trust contests and construction, and with Internal Revenue Service on income, gift and estate tax matters. His extensive active involvement at the local, state, national and international levels in not for profit organizations such as Rotary International and Boy Scouts has given him insight into charitable entities.

Robert Stuart, Jr. has been designated a “Leading Lawyer” since 2003 and selected as one of the top 50 leading consumer lawyers in Downstate Illinois. He has also been designated a “Super Lawyer” by Chicago Magazine since 2004
